Our Story

We Built a Better Way
to Get Fruit.

Founded in 2021 by a team of food scientists and former produce buyers who were tired of flavorless supermarket fruit, Itsripe exists to reconnect people with what fruit actually tastes like.

Why We Exist

The Supermarket
Fruit System is Broken.

The average supermarket mango travels 28 days from harvest to your table — picked green at 10° Brix, stored in ethylene chambers, and shipped through 4–6 middlemen who each take a cut. By the time it reaches you, 60% of its natural sugar and 80% of its aroma compounds are gone.

We built Itsripe to fix this. Our model is simple: partner directly with the world's best fruit growers, pick only at peak ripeness, and ship within 48 hours. No warehouses. No middlemen. No ethylene gas.

The result? Fruit that tastes like it was just plucked from the tree — because it was.
